AlNiCo

Major Attributes:
· Best resistance to temperatures in whole permanent magnet family,
   could be used in temperatures up to 550°C (1020°F)
· Highest residual induction and energy in Low Energy Magnet family
· Lowest resistance to demagnetization
· Hard & brittle, not easy to process

Typical Applications:
· Sensors
· Electronic tubes

Ceramics

Major Attributes:
· Highest resistance to demagnetization in Low Energy Magnet family
· Less expensive than AlNiCo & Rare-earth magnets
· Easier processed than AlNiCo & Rare-earth magnets
· Lower operating temperature than AlNiCo

Typical Applications:
· Most common speaker magnets
· Most common Arc segments for motors
· Magnetic separators
· Magnetic hardware
· MRI & other medical application


   


Flexible

Major Attributes:
· Easiest in forming, shaping & processing in whole permanent magnet family
· May serve in sheets & strips, could be cut into any kind of shapes
· Lowest material cost
· Lowest magnetic properties in whole permanent magnet family,
   energy ranging from 0.6 to 1.6 MGOe
